The Story of Annunciation Heights & Camp St. Malo Shrine

One Mission, Two Properties, Seven Streams.

Together, we are To the Heights Catholic Camps and Retreat Centers.

Two miles to the south of Annunciation Heights is Camp St. Malo Shrine. CSMS was founded as a Catholic youth camp in the archdiocese of Denver in 1920.  From 1920 to until the early 1980s, it functioned as a youth camp, bringing boys and girls to the mountains as a means of encountering God and deepening faith.  In 1984, the youth camp was closed to construct a retreat center. CSMS and its Chapel on the Rock still host tens of thousands of tourists annually to the property, with the youth camp vision extending into Annunciation Heights, a continuation of the same mission begun over a century ago. 

Annunciation Heights has seven distinct mission streams! Included are Youth and Family Camps, Outdoor Education, Rental Group space, our Altum Institute Missionary program, Community Engagement opportunities, and Camp St. Malo Shrine ministries.

Ultimately, we lead souls into reconciliation with God.
